Full Circle has the honour to welcome renowned author, scholar and broadcaster Tarek Osman to Brussels to share with you his insights on identity politics and faith systems in modern societies in the Middle East. Join us for this incredibly interesting evening salon on Thursday 3rd October 2021.

Evening Salon / Thurs 3 Oct / 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Author, broadcaster, and political counsellor Tarek Osman discusses the role of faith systems in today’s identity politics, and looks at ‘Islamism’ in particular in the experiences of Middle Eastern societies. Debated at large, this vague term almost prevents us from having meaningful discussions. Tarek sheds light on its manifold complexities and scans the long history of political Islam, from the Ottoman Empire to the recent developments across the Middle East, to help us make sense of the manifestation of faith in society and governance.
